Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to work across our vibrant organisation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Promote a positive and proactive culture of health and safety within Halton Housing using behavioural safety techniques including recognising and rewarding good practice
  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of people, including setting measurable performance targets and effectively managing through a performance management process
  • Develop effective two-way communication methods including developing toolbox talks to be delivered by managers
  • Be responsible for the review, development and implementation of the organisation’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System
  • Work closely with other managers to develop and implement systems for the control and monitoring of contractors and contract compliance

What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with strong technical knowledge of health and safety issues affecting the social housing and construction sectors
  • Minimum Chartered Member of IOSH and Minimum NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent or working towards
  • A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulation in Health and Safety within housing
  • Ability to confidently communicate and influence across the organisation
  • Ability to constructively challenge and give/receive feedback
