Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for a proactive Transaction Assistant to work across our vibrant organisation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process invoices in line with policies in an accurate and timely manner
  • Challenge budget holders when necessary, in relation to the ordering process, coding, authorisation and compliance on standing orders
  • Process monthly corporate credit card statements for approval
  • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that invoices are returned promptly and fully authorised
  • First point of contact for internal and external queries
  • Accurately update the rent accounting system daily with customer payments that have been processed

What You’ll Need:

  • Good customer service and communication skills, responding or giving feedback to internal/external customers, managers, users and contractors
  • Ability to follow defined processes and procedures (incl deadlines) in an accurate and consistent manner
  • Ability to use or willingness to learn basic Microsoft packages
  • GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
