Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Independent Living Support Worker to work across our vibrant organisation.

Hours: 22 hours per week
Duration: Permanent

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide person-centred support to residents within independent living and sheltered housing schemes.
  • Carry out welfare visits and wellbeing calls to promote customer safety and independence.
  • Assess support needs and complete support plans, risk assessments, and related documentation.
  • Work with customers and partner agencies to adapt support as needs change.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and make safeguarding referrals where appropriate.
  • Support tenancy sustainment through assessments, customer profiling, and income and expenditure reviews.
  • Conduct property viewings and tenancy sign-ups, helping to minimise void periods.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, families, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Advocate for customers where needed and empower them to access support and services independently.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience providing housing-related support and promoting independent living.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations sensitively and professionally.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and responsibilities.
